Reference Layers with WMS

Icon Map Pro supports OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) WMS (Web Map Service) layers.

WMS can be enabled in ArcGIS to provide an SVG or PNG tile layer to your map. Icon Map Pro supports authentication of ArcGIS hosted WMS layers via ArcGIS token authentication.

Whilst the WMS specification does not provide a mechanism for filtering WMS layers, vendors have provided their own methods. For example with GeoServer, CQL filtering is supported. Esri have provided the ability to filter using the LayerDefs and Query methods according to the source type. More information can be found in the ArcGIS documentations

These filters can be hard-coded to a specific value in the Icon Map Pro settings for that layer, or dynamically defined according to your data context or slicer selections by creating a DAX measure, selected by Power BI conditional formatting.
